1. About Pavement Storage
Pavement Storage ("we", "us") provides storage van hire services. A storage van is a refurbished, road-legal vehicle parked on a public road near your property. You are granted a key to access the cargo area for the duration of your membership.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or over and a UK resident to hire a storage van. By signing up you confirm you meet these requirements.
3. The storage van
- The storage van remains the property of Pavement Storage at all times.
- You are granted access to the cargo area only. You may not drive or attempt to drive the vehicle.
- Pavement Storage reserves the right to reposition the vehicle at any time, including for maintenance, legal compliance, or operational reasons. We will give reasonable notice where possible.
- The vehicle is parked on a public road. Pavement Storage does not guarantee a specific parking space.
4. Permitted use
You may store any legal goods that fit safely within the cargo area. You may not store:
- Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or explosives.
- Perishable goods or food items.
- Live animals.
- Illegal items or contraband.
- Items whose storage would violate any applicable law.
5. Payment and cancellation
- Membership is billed monthly in advance.
- You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- No refunds are issued for partial months.
- Prices shown are introductory rates and may be subject to change with 30 days notice.
6. Liability
- Pavement Storage is not liable for loss or damage to items stored in the vehicle arising from theft, weather, or events outside our reasonable control.
- We recommend you insure high-value items independently.
- Pavement Storage's total liability to you shall not exceed the total fees paid in the 3 months preceding any claim.
7. Parking and legal compliance
Storage vans are road-legal, taxed, insured, and MOT'd vehicles. Parking on a public road is lawful under the Road Traffic Act. Pavement Storage handles all Penalty Charge Notices. You agree not to interfere with the vehicle's parking position or registration.
8. Termination
Pavement Storage may terminate your membership immediately if you breach these terms, misuse the storage van, or fail to make payment. In such cases the van will be collected and your belongings must be removed within 7 days.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
